Inspiration Course: Lesson Four
Be The Change
There is a vitality, a life force, an energy ... that is translated through you into action. There is only one you in all time. This expression is unique. If you block your unique expression, it will never exist through any other medium. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. ~ Martha Graham
As the explorations in the first lesson of the Inspiration Course showed, each and every person on this planet has unlimited potential within. Yet both conscious limiting beliefs and unconscious processes keep many people from even having awareness of the power that lies within themselves.
Once a person becomes aware of the deep well of power and wisdom within, they can begin to make choices which give access to the development of their greater potential. They can then more fully be the change they want to see. For an inspiring poem which invites us to open to the priceless treasures that lie within, click on the link below.

Below are two more poems which call all of us to our greatness. Even if you have read one or both of these poems before, we invite you to open again to the deep wisdom shared and allow yourself to be renewed. Take time between each poem to breathe and assimilate the powerful words shared.

Again, consider taking a moment and not rushing through this important lesson. When we read or hear something powerful or which touches us deeply, the tendency in this modern world is to quickly move on to the next thing, to check that one off the list and continue without pause.
The invitation here is to break this pattern and spend a few moments in contemplation digesting whatever message these pieces might have for you. Consider stopping now and spending a few moments in quiet meditation. If one of these poems calls to you, go back and read it again to absorb any hidden wisdom you may have missed on the first pass.
Whenever you are ready to move on, below is the link to a thought-provoking, three-page essay inviting us to transcend the limitations of tribal thinking to find our own sense of self-worth and meaning in life.
Being aware of the limitations of tribal thinking, every one of us can more easily be the change we want to see in our lives and world. The moving story below involves a man who chose to break out of rigid tribal beliefs about time and money to make a difference. It is the tale of an ordinary old woman for whom an act of grace by this man brings out the extraordinary for both of them in wonderfully unexpected ways.

If you think you are too small to make a difference, you haven't been in bed with a mosquito. ~ Anita Roddick
